IVR certification

MoPi.ch AG is certified to the OMS standard of the Interassociation for Rescue Services (IVR) — at levels S3 and S4.

What the IVR standard requires

The Interassociation for Rescue Services is the umbrella body of the Swiss rescue sector. Its OMS quality standard (organisation, resources, safety) does not examine individual vehicles but the business as a whole: staff training, the condition and equipment of the vehicles, hygiene, dispatch planning and the documentation of every transport. Certification is reviewed periodically and can be withdrawn.

Levels S3 and S4

The standard distinguishes levels by the type of transport. S3 covers the transport of patients who need supervision, S4 qualified medical transport with clinical monitoring. MoPi.ch is certified for both levels and may therefore also carry out journeys that require specialist accompaniment throughout.

What this means for patients

Someone booking a transport can hardly assess a provider’s quality themselves. IVR certification takes that judgement on: it demonstrates that an independent body has examined the staff, the vehicles and the procedures. For hospitals, clinics and care homes it is often a precondition for working together, and health insurers recognise certified providers without further question.

Not an emergency service

IVR certification does not make MoPi.ch an emergency service. We carry out planned, pre-arranged journeys for people whose condition is stable. In a medical emergency the rule is unchanged: call 144.
